Women’s Travel Wisdom Program

Over five days, women will share their inspirational stories and how they have learned to overcome fear, manage the unexpected and live the life of their dreams. There will also be wellness workshops to teach the principles of mindfulness, personal empowerment, animal conservation, and wabi-sabi to provide action-oriented tools and guidance to help women be more purposeful in their lives and travels. Daily practices will include yoga, massage, meditation, dancing, Indigenous nature walks, healthy meals and sound healing. 

Day 1 – Opening the Heart

Thursday, October 20, 2022  – Arrival Day at Mandala Springs Wellness Retreat Centre 

Transportation provided (at additional cost) from the airport.

Arrive by 4:00 pm. Check in to your room and get settled

5:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Welcome! Meet your travel sisters!

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Keynote Speaker “Why We Travel: Overcoming Fear & Finding Joy” – Debbie Phillips

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Dinner outside in our beautiful pavilion (weather permitting) or inside the beautiful Mandala Hall

8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Welcome Party with Live Music (Non-alcoholic drinks only)

10:30 pm:  Bedtime – get rested for tomorrow

Friday, October 21, 2022

07:30 am: Yoga to align your mind and body at the Glenbrook Studio

08:00 am: Join us for morning meditation

09:00 am: Healthy breakfast

09:45 am: Doni & Carolyn, Let’s get fired up!

10:15 am – 11:00 am: Keynote:  “Finding Your Own Balance” – Lola Akinmade Åkerström

11:15 am – 12:00 pm: “Mindfulness + the Power of Awareness in Everyday Life” – Caren Osten

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch  

Afternoon Talk & Discussion Sessions (all 45 minutes)

1:00-1:45 pm: How to Re-Ignite Your Energy, Shawna Robbins

2:00-2:45 pm: Exploring Wabi-sabi, the ancient Japanese world-view, Robin Griggs Lawrence

3:00-6:30 pm Free time to Rest & Rejuvenate or get your Wellness Treatment

5:30-6:00 pm: Guided Walking Meditation led by Doni Belau

6:15-7:00 pm: Dinner Under the Stars or in Mandala Hall

7:30-8:30 pm:  Group Activity: Laughing Yoga

Day 3 – A day to Dream

7:00 am: Stretch and wake up!

8:00 am: Yoga – two levels offered

9:00 am: Healthy Breakfast

9:45 am: Keynote: “Finding Magic in the Unexpected” – Doni Belau

11:00 am: “Traveling like a Rockstar into your 80’s” – Diana Eden

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch

11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Keynote: “Human Rights and Women’s Safety” -Tracey Breeden

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch

8:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Sunset Balinese Ritual

8:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Sound Healing Experience

9:00 pm: Music & Singing With DJ Max

11:00 pm Bedtime, aaah!

Day 5 – Returning home with Zeal

7:30 am: Creekside Meditation

8:15 am: Yoga

9:15 am: Healthy Breakfast and Closing remarks with Doni & Carolyn

10:00 am: Check out & Change the world!
